The Buddy Ray Band Bio
Buddy Ray is just turning 16 years old, but he plays the blues like a seasoned pro. Buddy Ray started taking guitar lessons when he was 9 years old. After a couple months, he was already strutting his stuff in his school's talent show. And a couple of months after that, he played a gig at his aunt's high school reunion. By the next year, he was officially playing live gigs with The Buddy Ray Band. If you like blues greats like Stevie Ray Vaughan, Jimi Hendrix, Eric Clapton, and Albert Collins---then you're sure to love The Buddy Ray Band. WE DO NOT PLAY COUNTRY OR LYNYRD SKYNYRD.
The Buddy Ray Band is:

Buddy Ray Mahan --- guitar and lead vocals
Nancy Mahan --- keyboards
Monte Mahan --- drums
Tom Cloven --- bass and background vocals
We also want to give special mention to our "road crew" and core fan base: Mike Mahan, Patty Davisson, Kayden Davisson, Kathy Davied, and sometimes Kathryn Mahan. Also in that core fan base is Gerry Mahan---she doesn't do much of the heavy lifting, but she is at every gig to give us support. Band photographers for live shows include Kathy Davied and Kathryn Mahan. Recent formal band photos, such as the photo on the main page, were taken by Terry Peck from Neodesha, KS (http://www.surreystationstudio.com). The concept of getting a Buddy Ray Band website going was inspired by Shane Mahan. This website design and maintenance is done by Tom Cloven (site launch July 2010). Thanks to Roburta Halsey for getting the Facebook fan page up and running. And thanks to Clint Gilbert at Busby Studios for engineering our recording project.
